We are always pleased to hear from singers who would like to join us.
All applicants for membership are invited to attend a number of rehearsals with the choir before undertaking a short informal audition with our Director of Music, Simon Lovell-Jones.
Being able to sight read to a reasonable standard is a pre-requiste for membership and some previous experience of choral singing is helpful.
With our universities such a big part of our community we are always very happy to welcome students to the choir, and are able to offer a reduced membership fee.

Additional information:
Choral Society members pay an annual subscription of £175.
Our librarians usually can supply the music for most of our concerts.
There is a Saturday morning workshop most terms for which there is a fee of £10 to cover expenses.
